Once again this year we leave behind the identity of queer politics and the glamour of media flashlights to delve into the mundane yet real lives of gay and lesbian people in India.
This photo essay is a reminder that even in the face of unfair laws and a judging society, we remain who we are- a community of creative, hardworking and law abiding men and women- with the same hopes and aspirations, fears and challenges as any other ordinary person in this country.

These pics are so inspiring. Whenever I search for gay couple/ family to see how gays can form a family I always find white couples from US n Europe. It was amazing to see so many desi couples in India living their lives with dignity. So cool!!! I’m inspired.
An ordinary life, just as it is for those who acclaims straight. This is a good coverage of what a life is at this generation.
